
Energetic Insurance
Jeff McAulay is a recognized innovator in the energy commercialization ecosystem. He has deep technical expertise and a demonstrated track record of supporting innovation via startup companies, within corporate structures and innovative partnerships. Jeff is currently the co-founder of Energetic Insurance, an early stage company developing a new credit cover product for commercial solar projects.
Prior to Energetic Insurance, Jeff was the Sr. Manager of Strategic Partnerships at EnerNOC where he has led the creation of a Distributed Energy Resources business unit including recent partnerships with SunPower and Tesla. Prior to EnerNOC, Jeff was the founding TechBridge Program Manager at Fraunhofer CSE, an applied R&D organization focusing on photovoltaic modules, building energy efficiency and electric grid control systems. Jeff built an international partnership program across Fraunhofer Institutes to validate early stage companies and accelerate commercialization.
Jeff has an interdisciplinary engineering background, having also worked on medical devices at Boston Scientific and catalytic fuel reformation at Nuvera Fuel Cells. He holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University and a master’s degree from the Engineering Systems Division at MIT.
