Challenges in Civil Construction Insurance & the Associated Risks in The Face of Growing Infrastructure Investments
The Montana to Wyoming National Park Highway will traverse the West Side of Yellowstone National Park and terminate near the Grand Tetons and Jackson Hole Wyoming. Segment N/S 1 is under construction in the spring of 2022 near Yellowstone when damage occurs to excavations, roadways, bridges and tunnels due to excessive water run-off and flooding from the significant amount of snowfall during the winter season. To make matters worse, an Earthquake near Yellowstone causes further damage to the project. The claim promises to be complex and will involve a myriad of physical damage, time element and defective construction issues.
Please join us at the 2022 Builder’s Risk & Construction Symposium to hear our Keynote speaker, Robin Kemper – Senior Risk Engineering Consultant and the past president of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and a diverse group of the world’s leading placement, brokerage, underwriting, claims, technical and legal experts. The panels will include in depth and spirited discussion of placing insurance for a complex infrastructure project, underwriting considerations, property damage and defect issues, as well as delay in start up issues.
The Builder’s Risk & Construction Symposium is in its 4th year of curating one-of-a-kind construction insurance educational events with participation from leading contractors, brokers, underwriters, experts and legal counsel. By bringing together the major stakeholders, this year’s event promises to be the most interactive yet.
We look forward to seeing you there.
